Join us for this autumn’s first gathering of the Social Choreography Lab Helsinki on Tuesday, October 25th between 17:30 – 20:00h. The workshop will be led by DRAG ARTIST BETTY FVCK.
Betty Fvck introduces the power of Drag transformation. Join a workshop facilitated by Betty to hear their stories about Drag and, in Betty’s words, ”observe how Drag can be the power to transform one’s face, body, character and mind.” The workshop will allow you to experiment with Drag makeup and postures, exploring different choreographies that shape our understandings of gender and identity. What forms of personal and collective freedoms can be rehearsed through the lens of Drag?
Betty Fvck is an award-winning POC and immigrant queer artist based in Helsinki. Her internationally known performance repertoire spans both Drag and burlesque acts where boundary-crossing meets the fantastical.
As space is limited, please register as soon as possible by sending an email to: —–firstname.lastname@example.org—–
As always, the workshop is free of charge, no previous experience or skills are required
The workshop will be held in Sali 3 in ESKUS performing arts center in Suvilahti. ESKUS is located in Puhdistamo, building number 6, 2nd floor, stairs next to Make Your Mark Gallery (https://www.eskus.fi/yhteystiedot/).
