Lin Da & Esitystaiteen seura: rinnakkaisuus_amongness

rinnakkaisuus_amongness -audiokävelyssä matkataan Itä-Helsingissä, Itäkeskuksen, Puotinharjun sekä Myllypuron välisyydessä, lähiöarkkitehtuurin ja kaupunkiluonnon monenmoisen liikkeen seassa. Teoskokonaisuuden muodostavat internetistä kuulokkein kuunneltava rinnakkaisuus_amongness -audioesitys sekä työryhmän opastama parin kilometrin kävelyreitti. Teos johdattaa kuulijansa havainnoimaan omaa sekä muunlajisten ruumiiden olomuotoja, liikettä ja selviytymiskeinoja. Audioteoksen dramaturgia muodostuu veden kiertokulun seuraamisesta, jossa samalla tullaan koskettaneeksi ns. peruselementtejä ja niiden seassa asuvia olentoja. Keskeistä työn koreografisessa ajattelussa on luoda tilaa ihmisruumiin paikantumiselle ja kytkeytymiselle osaksi omaa ja jaettua luontoa.

Mitä jos vaihtaisimme perspektiiviä, elämän mittakaavaa? Mitä jos tutkisimme empaattisesti erilaisia olemisen tapoja ja muotoja, myös elotonta olevaa? rinnakkaisuus_amongness on kehollis-empaattinen kehotus vuoropuheluun itsen ja ympäristön kanssa. Se ehdottaa ajan ottamista ihmettelylle ja luonnon eri organismien olemassaololle herkistymistä. Kävelyä voi lähestyä kokemuksellisena tanssina, jossa ollaan luonnon seassa ja tutkitaan luontona luonnossa olemista.

In English

During the rinnakkaisuus_amongness -audio walk, you will be journeying in the Eastern part of Helsinki, between Itäkeskus, Puotinharju and Myllypuro. Gently moving amongst suburban architecture you will experience the movements of urban nature. The art work consists of a walk, which is guided by the working group. During this two kilometer walk, you can listen to the rinnakkaisuus_amongnes audio performance, which can be accessed through the internet and listened to with headphones. The piece guides the listeners to observe their own and other types of bodies’ (like plants and insects), focusing on different material states, movements, and survival methods.

The dramaturgy of the audio piece is constructed so that it follows the water cycle, also known as the hydrologic cycle, as well as touching upon other fundamental elements and beings that live among them. Central to the choreographic thinking of the work is an attempt to create space for the human body to be located and connected to one’s own and shared nature.

What if we changed our perspective, the life’s scale? What if we empathetically explored different ways and forms of being, including the inanimate? rinnakkaisuus_amongness is an invitation to experience a bodily-empathic dialogue with yourself and the environment. The audio performance can be approached as an experiential dance which explores being in, and part of nature. It suggests taking the time to wonder and to become sensitised to the existence of various natural organisms. You can experience the audio performance anywhere, anytime and participate in it in a way that suits you.

Important: In order to take part in the audio walk you will need internet connection, a smart device and head or earphones. As the audio performance includes binaural sound elements, the best listening experience is achieved with headphones.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of the event so that you have time to arrive and participate in the joint start.

Please note that the event will be outside, so dress appropriately for the weather.
