DESCRIPTION:Join us for this year\'s last gathering of the Social Choreography Lab Helsinki, led by dancer, choreographer and pedagogue Maja Kalafatić. This workshop will address tools of The Workshop DANCE AND ACT is a diverse format where we will combine practice and critical theory to form action in public space. The session engages with artistic activism as a fun, transdisciplinary and dynamic practice to address pressing topics. We will get to know some local and foreign examples of creative activism, experiment with task based methods and movement research, as well as explore different approaches to interaction and non-verbal communication. At the end of the workshop we might experiment in public space if the weather conditions allow it. Maja Kalafatić (1984, Celje) is a dancer, choreographer, pedagogue and yoga instructor, living and working between Ljubljana and Belgrade (Serbia). Maja started dancing in 1988 in Dance Forum Celje, where she trained for further 15 years and during this period performed in practically all Forum\'s performances and events.
