Amsterdamilaisen Veem – House for Performance’n taiteellinen johtaja Marga Kroodsma vieraili Helsingissä Eskuksen kutsumana 10.-13.11.2022. Vierailun yhteydessä järjestettiin Producers’ Masterclass, jossa pohdittiin mm. sitä kuinka taiteesta voisi ja pitäisi puhua päättäjille, kuinka kommunikoida uutta esityskieltä taiteen katsojille ja mikä ylipäätään on instituutioiden ulkopuolella toimivan esittävän taiteen asema tämän päivän Euroopassa.
Masterclassin lisäksi Kroodsma tutustui mm. Liikkeellä Marraskuussa -ohjelmistoon. Eskus tutkii tulevan yhteistyön mahdollisuutta Veemin ja Kroodsman kanssa esimerkiksi residenssiohjelman muodossa.

Marga Kroodsma, artistic director of Amsterdam-based Veem – House for Performance, visited Helsinki on 10-13 November 2022 at the invitation of Eskus. In connection with the visit, a Producers’ Masterclass was organized, which discussed e.g. how art could and should be talked about to decision-makers, how to communicate a new performance language to viewers, and what is the status of performing arts outside of institutions in today’s Europe.
In addition to the Masterclass, Kroodsma got to know e.g. Moving in November program. Eskus is investigating the possibility of future cooperation with Veem and Kroodsma, for example in the form of a residency program.
